Softball Recap: Long Beach Takes a Loss

Long Beach was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 12-2 to the George County Rebels. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rebels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-0 last Tuesday.

Long Beach's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for George County, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-1.

Looking ahead, Long Beach will face off against Hancock at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for George County, they will square off against Hernando at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
