Sylmar entered their tilt with Marshall on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Barristers by a score of 10-5. That's more bragging rights for the Spartans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Sylmar pushed their record up to 14-4 with the victory, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 9.1 runs this season. As for Marshall, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sylmar will challenge Verdugo Hills at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Marshall, they will be taking part in a tournament against Hamilton at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
