The Aloha Warriors will head out on the road to square off against the Mountainside Mavericks at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Aloha is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.
Aloha was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Beaverton on Friday. The Warriors blew past the Beavers 11-3. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Beavers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Chiyori Brumley made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched seven innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. Brumley was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with three RBI and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since April 1st.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Avery Dimeo, who went 4-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Ava Cruz also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Aloha kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are 6-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Mountainside fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Sunset on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Apollos by a score of 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Mavericks have suffered since April 12, 2024.
Natalie Kawaguchi made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Aubri Kruhm, who went 2-for-5 with two RBI and one double.
Aloha now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Mountainside, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-8.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Aloha has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.7 hits per game. However, it's not like Mountainside struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.2 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Aloha was able to grind out a solid win over Mountainside in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 7-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
