Bucksport faced Mattanawcook in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Golden Bucks came out on top against the Lynx by a score of 4-0. The Golden Bucks' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Not much got past Natalie Simpson, who gave up just a hit and racked up 13 Ks to keep Mattanawcook off the board. Simpson has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Jetta Shook was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Bucksport's victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0. As for Mattanawcook, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-3.

Looking ahead, Bucksport will head out on the road to take on Sumner at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Golden Bucks are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Mattanawcook, they will welcome Stearns at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
