Baseball Recap: Central Woodstock Find Success

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Central Woodstock ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Clarke County Eagles 7-5. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-2 back in March.

The team relied heavily on Jaxson Kelican, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Austin Hosaflook was another key player, getting on base in two of his five plate appearances with one stolen base and two RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Central Woodstock and bumps their season record up to 10-7. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for Clarke County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-6.
