Basketball Game Preview: Tuscarawas Central Catholic Saints vs. Central Christian Comets

The Tuscarawas Central Catholic Saints will take on the Central Christian Comets at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Saturday, Tuscarawas Central Catholic lost to Malvern at home by a 50-35 margin. The Saints haven't had much luck with the Hornets recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Central Christian). They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat Alliance 67-6. Winning may never get old, but the Comets sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Central Christian has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.8 points per game. As for Tuscarawas Central Catholic, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-10.

Tuscarawas Central Catholic came out on top in a nail-biter against Central Christian in their previous matchup back in January of 2015, sneaking past 56-53. Will Tuscarawas Central Catholic repeat their success, or does Central Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
