Recap: Redmond Mustangs vs. Newport - Bellevue Knights
After flying high against the Skyline Spartans last Wednesday, the Redmond Mustangs came back down to earth. Redmond took a 57-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Newport - Bellevue on Friday. Redmond has not had much luck with Newport - Bellevue recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Redmond's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sofia Locati, who scored nine points along with 11 rebounds and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Isabel Schneider, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Redmond has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Newport - Bellevue, their victory bumped their record up to 6-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Redmond will take on Issaquah at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Newport - Bellevue, they will head out on the road to face off against Woodinville at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
