Soccer Recap: New Albany's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask New Albany). They put the hurt on the Salem Lions with a sharp 9-0 victory on Monday. Considering New Albany have won six games by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was New Albany's fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those four matches. As for Salem, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Albany will venture away from home to take on Floyd Central at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Salem, they will head out to challenge Silver Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Silver Creek's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
