Katie Lindelow leads Mandeville to huge playoff victory.
There will be a new LHSAA Division I-Class 5A state volleyball champion now that
Mandeville has ousted St. Joseph's Academy (29-13) from the playoffs.

Katie Lindelow to beat the Redstickers in five sets, 25-20, 23-25, 19-25, 25-21, 15-13. Lindelow scored six of the Skippers' first eight points in the pivotal fifth set. Those included four kills and a service winner.
"Katie Lindelow is a very special player," Mandeville coach Jodie Walker said. "I've seen her take over some games, and…we needed her at that time (the fifth set). But we had a good team effort. We got some blocking when we needed it and some hitting when we needed it. Our whole team stepped up this time."
Lindelow finished with 34 kills and 19 digs. Teammate
Nichole Freeman added 27 assists and
Jess Himel produced 31 digs.
Sarah Barber and Alex Mathew led St. Joseph's with 25 and 30 digs, respectively. McKensey Lynch collected 18 kills, while freshmen Parker Harrell and Audrey Marsh combined for 26 kills.
