Baseball Recap: Southside Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Southside can now relate to. They fell just short of the Haughton Buccaneers by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Sharks of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2022.

Southside has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 21-13-1 record this season. As for Haughton, their victory bumped their record up to 18-14.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Buccaneers beat Southside by a score of 7-6 on Saturday.
