Basketball Recap: Ravenna Comes Up Short

Ravenna was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They were beaten by the Centura Centurions 55-25. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bluejays this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-43 last Friday.

Tyus Francl was a one-man wrecking crew for Centura as he went 7 of 12 en route to 15 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. Those 15 points gave Francl a new career-high. Barrett Fries was another key player, putting up nine points and five rebounds.

Ravenna's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Centura, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ravenna will take on St. Paul at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Centura, they will face off against Boone Central at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
