Basketball Recap: Buckeye Takes a Loss

Buckeye and Canyon View squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Buckeye had to settle for second. They came up short against the Canyon View Jaguars, falling 59-36. The defeat continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now lost five in a row.

Buckeye's loss dropped their record down to 18-12. As for Canyon View, their victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-6.

Buckeye does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Canyon View, they will challenge Sunrise Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
