Baseball Recap: Pleasant Takes a Loss

Pleasant lost to Shelby back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Spartans came up short against the Whippets, falling 15-2.

Pleasant saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Hamper, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That RBI was Hamper's first of the season.

Pleasant has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Shelby, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-6.

Looking ahead, Pleasant will head out to square off against North Union at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Shelby will be paying especially close attention to the Spartans' contest: after the Spartans face off against the Wildcats, they'll take on Shelby again at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
