The St. George's Gryphons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They lost to Evangelical Christian at home by a decisive 58-44 margin. While losing is never fun, St. George's can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 211th, while Evangelical Christian is ranked 101st).

Despite the loss, St. George's still got an impressive performance from Amir Wilson, who scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wilson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jackson Jones, who scored eight points along with four steals.

St. George's has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Evangelical Christian, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.
