Basketball Recap: Northwood Triumphs

On Friday, the Northwood Gators narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Pitkin Tigers 46-44.

Northwood found their leader in sophomore Landon Tinsley, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 16 boards. Tinsley also grabbed five steals, which is notable because Northwood is 7-1 when he posts at least five steals, but 1-2 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jahari Mccoy, who posted 15 points and three steals.

Northwood's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Pitkin, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-7.

Northwood will welcome Alexandria Country Day at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pitkin, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against DeRidder at 6:00 p.m.
