Basketball Recap: Camden County Wildcats vs. First Coast Buccaneers
Camden County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 62-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the First Coast Buccaneers. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Buccaneers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Camden County lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Caleb Reed, who went 5 for 11 en route to 16 points. John Bowick was another key player, going 5 of 8 on his way to 12 points and five rebounds.
First Coast's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Christian Williams led the charge by dropping a double-double on 21 points and 16 boards. With that strong performance, Williams is now averaging an impressive 8 rebounds per game.
