Volleyball Recap: Hurricane Tigers vs. Chaparral Cowboys
Hurricane was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Chaparral Cowboys.
Carter Kane paced Hurricane's offense, picking up six kills. Kane got some help from Kasey Kearney and his 14 assists. Finally, Davin Larson kept Hurricane's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.
Chaparral's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jordan Pierce led the charge by getting 16 kills, eight digs, three aces, and one block.
