Recap: O'Connell Boilermakers vs. Washington Eagles
The O'Connell Boilermakers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Washington 84-15.
Washington got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jonah Chiu out in front who scored 13 points along with 5 steals. Chiu continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Korey Abantao, who scored 16 points along with 4 steals.
O'Connell's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-3. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 21.0 points per game. As for Washington, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. O'Connell will take on Lowell at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Washington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Willow Glen at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
