Softball Recap: Gardena Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Gardena's offense. They lost 25-0 to the Banning Pilots on Thursday. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 23-0 to the Pilots when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Gardena now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Banning, they moved to 4-10 with that win, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gardena will square off against Rancho Dominguez at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Rancho Dominguez has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed nine runs per game on average), something Gardena will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Banning, they will head out on the road to take on Mira Costa at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
