The Hilton Head Christian Academy Eagles came tearing into Friday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past John Paul II with points to spare, taking the game 49-35. That's another feather in the cap for Hilton Head Christian Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

It was another big night for Tamya Hutchinson, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Scott, who scored eight points along with six steals.

When it comes to explaining why John Paul II lost, one person who can't be blamed is Brady Mahoney. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds. Mahoney is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down 11 or more in the last three games she's played.

Hilton Head Christian Academy pushed their record up to 14-7 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for John Paul II, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-6.

Hilton Head Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for John Paul II, they will head out on the road to face off against Northwood Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northwood Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 17 matchups -- so hopefully John Paul II likes a good challenge.
