Football Recap: Eastern Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from William Simmons and Jeremiah Hubbard + How To Watch

Eastern and Coolidge squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Eastern had to settle for second. They took a 13-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Colts. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Ramblers couldn't quite close it out.

Jeremiah Hubbard and William Simmons certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Hubbard rushed for 29 yards and one touchdown, while Simmons rushed for 66 yards.

This is the second loss in a row for Eastern and nudges their season record down to 8-3. As for Coolidge, they pushed their record up to 7-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Eastern and Coolidge will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Ramblers see the field they'll take on Friendship Collegiate Academy at 1:00 p.m. on the 29th. As for Coolidge, their break will end when they face Dunbar at 11:00 a.m. on the 27th.
