Softball Recap: Fairview Apaches vs. Delta Panthers
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fairview). They were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Delta Panthers on Tuesday. The Apaches not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 9, 2024.
Edreanne Peck was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Those hits marked the first that she allowed this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, Kortney Grinnell was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kayla Mavis, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Fairview was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
