Recap: Garfield G-Men vs. Waterloo Vikings
The Garfield G-Men lost against the Waterloo Vikings back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Garfield fell just short of Waterloo by a score of 40-38. Garfield has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Garfield's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nick Edic, who scored 5 points along with 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston Gedeon, who scored 16 points.
Garfield's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Waterloo, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Garfield will challenge Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Waterloo is on the road again on Sunday and play against Manchester at 2:00 p.m. on December 10th.
