Basketball Recap: Elkhart Wins Going Away Against New Prairie

Elkhart's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 65-39 margin over the New Prairie Cougars. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Despite the defeat, New Prairie had strong showings from Jagger Daniels, who went 6 for 11 en route to 15 points, and Dylan Bishop, who posted eight points.

Elkhart's win bumped their record up to 4-12. As for New Prairie, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.

Elkhart and New Prairie could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings. Elkhart will face off against South Bend Riley at 7:30 p.m. on February 14th down 203 places (245 vs. 42). Similarly, New Prairie (ranked 396th) will meet South Bend Washington (ranked 34th) at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
