Basketball Recap: 16 Straight Home Wins for Legacy Academy

Legacy Academy had won 15 straight home games dating back to last season and Oaklee Lofton did her part to make it 16 on Friday. The Legacy Academy Warriors simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat New Life Christian Academy 71-27 thanks in part to Lofton, who dropped a triple-double on 34 points, 12 boards, and 17 steals. That makes it 18 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Legacy Academy's points.

Skylar Alexander was another key player, going 7 for 13 on her way to 17 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals. That's the most steals she has posted since back in November of 2024.

Legacy Academy is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.9 points per game. As for New Life Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, Legacy Academy and New Life Christian Academy will both be playing Christian Ministries Academy the next time they take the court. Legacy Academy will head out to face Christian Ministries Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, while New Life Christian Academy will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on January 24th.
