Baseball Recap: Monday's Defeat Ends Williamston's Winning Streak

Williamston blew Grand Ledge out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday Grand Ledge got their revenge. The Hornets fell just short of the Comets by a score of 3-1. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Hornets couldn't push the score so high this time.

The loss snapped Williamston's winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 31-6 record. As for Grand Ledge, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-7.

Looking ahead, Williamston will face off against Portland at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Raiders will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Hornets surely won't give up without a fight. Grand Ledge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
