Baseball Recap: Academic Magnet Comes Up Short

The Academic Magnet Raptors didn't have quite enough to beat the Lowcountry Leadership NaviGators on Thursday and fell 6-5.

Paggi Luke made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Sam Harris, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Academic Magnet's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Lowcountry Leadership, they moved to 8-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Academic Magnet will face off against Timberland at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lowcountry Leadership, they will challenge St. John's at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The NaviGators' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Islanders have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season.
