Softball Game Preview: Pecatonica Indians vs. Durand Bulldogs

Pecatonica is 0-10 against Durand since May of 2018 but things could change on Wednesday. The Indians will venture away from home to face off against the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. Pecatonica has given up an average of 10.1 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Pecatonica is headed into Wednesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They came up short against Dakota, falling 14-1.

Pecatonica saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ellie Bolen, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Bolen is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.

Meanwhile, Durand didn't have quite enough to beat Juda on Monday and fell 5-4.

Pecatonica's loss dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Durand, they now have a losing record of 10-11.

Pecatonica suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Durand in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
