Archbishop Hoban waltzed into their match on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They breezed by the Avon Lake Shoremen to the tune of 63-32. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 22 points or more this season.

Archbishop Hoban pushed their record up to 18-2 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.8 points per game. As for Avon Lake, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 16-4 record.

Archbishop Hoban and Avon Lake should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Archbishop Hoban will take on Wadsworth at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday up 45 places (9 vs. 54). Meanwhile, Avon Lake (ranked 38th) will meet Elyria (ranked 603rd) at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
