Freeport is 8-2 against Syosset since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Red Devils will square off against Syosset. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Last Saturday, Freeport took a blow against Port Washington, falling 38-8. The defeat continues a trend for the Red Devils in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost three in a row.

Syosset kicked off their season on the road two weeks ago and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 51-28 to Farmingdale. While losing is never fun, Syosset can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 125th, while Farmingdale is ranked 23rd).

Freeport will have to keep a close watch on Ethan Dizon and Raghav Ghosh, a pair of players who had a big impact on Syosset's prior game. Dizon threw for 280 yards and one TD, while Ghosh picked up 104 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Freeport didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Syosset when the teams last played back in October of 2023, but they still walked away with an 18-13 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Devils since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
