Flag Football Game Preview: Mira Mesa Marauders vs. Mission Hills Grizzlies

The Mira Mesa Marauders will head out on the road to take on the Mission Hills Grizzlies at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Mira Mesa is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Cathedral Catholic just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. The contest between the Marauders and the Dons didn't end well, with the Marauders falling 21-6. While losing is never fun, the Marauders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 224th, while the Dons are ranked 46th).

Meanwhile, Mission Hills was fully in charge on Monday, breezing past San Dieguito Academy 38-10. The result was nothing new for the Grizzlies, who have now won eight games by 20 points or more so far this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Mission Hills and bumps their season record up to 13-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 46.0 points over those games. As for Mira Mesa, they now have a losing record of 6-7.
