Baseball Recap: Whittier Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Whittier's offense. They fell 5-0 to the La Serna Lancers on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cardinals of the 10-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Whittier saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jiovanni Munoz, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Diego Pantoja also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Whittier's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for La Serna, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Whittier didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-5 defeat against Santa Fe on the 21st. As for La Serna, they have also already played their next game, a 6-5 loss against California on the 21st.
