Basketball Game Preview: Tintic Miners vs. American Prep WV Eagles

The Tintic Miners will face off against the American Prep WV Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Friday, Tintic didn't have too much trouble with Manila as they won 56-42. The Miners haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Haygen Jameson went supernova, dropping a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Those 12 boards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Luke Hansen, who went 5-for-11 en route to 15 points.

Meanwhile, American Prep WV took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They breezed past Utah Military Academy - Hill Field to the tune of 101-17. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 61-8.

Tintic was able to grind out a solid win over American Prep WV in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 59-47. Do the Miners have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
