Soccer Recap: Laurel Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Lone Peak

Laurel faced Lone Peak in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Locomotives fell just short of the Big Horns by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Lone Peak this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in September.

This is the second loss in a row for Laurel and nudges their season record down to 3-4-3. As for Lone Peak, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2-1.

Laurel has already played their next contest, a 1-1 draw against Lockwood on the 11th. As for Lone Peak, they are taking a road trip to challenge Columbia Falls at 1:15 p.m. on the 18th.
