Baseball Game Preview: Kewaskum Indians vs. Ripon Tigers

For the second straight game, Kewaskum will face off against Ripon. The Indians will host the Tigers at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Kewaskum has four straight victories, Ripon has eight straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Kewaskum barely beat Ripon the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Indians put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 8-1 win on Tuesday.

Kingston Grisolono was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April.

Kewaskum pushed their record up to 12-4-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Ripon, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-15.

Kewaskum's speedy runners might be the difference in Thursday's match. The Indians have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game.
