Softball Recap: Edwin O. Smith Makes It Four in a Row at Home

Edwin O. Smith won against East Hartford on Monday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Panthers beat the Coginchaug Regional Blue Devils by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 8-7. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2025.

The team relied heavily on Louise Champagne, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Izzy Jean was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Edwin O. Smith hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.
