Softball Recap: Shady Spring Comes Up Short

After flying high against Independence on Monday, Shady Spring came back down to earth. The Tigers fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 4-3 on Thursday. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Patriots earlier this season, when they won 9-3.

Peyton Raban was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Shady Spring has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season. As for Independence, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Shady Spring nor Independence have any future games scheduled.
