Basketball Recap: Fairfield Comes Up Short

Fairfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 83-27 loss at the hands of the Delone Catholic Squires. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 730th, while the Squires are ranked 234th).

Fairfield's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Delone Catholic, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 19-2.

Fairfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-30 defeat against New Covenant Christian on the 3rd. As for Delone Catholic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 68-53 win against Camp Hill on the 3rd.
