After losing to Burnet the last time they met, Gateway College Preparatory decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Gators walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Bulldogs on Tuesday. The win was familiar territory for the Gators, who have now won five contests in a row.

Gateway College Preparatory got a great performance from Julian Lopez as he didn't allow a single earned run over 6.1 innings pitched. Lopez also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Gators are 4-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-13-1 otherwise.

Gateway College Preparatory's record now sits at 8-15-1. As for Burnet, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 12-16-1 record.

Gateway College Preparatory will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bulldogs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
