Baseball Recap: Elk Grove Thundering Herd vs. St. Mary's Rams
Elk Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 6-1 to the St. Mary's Rams. The Thundering Herd were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rams apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.
Elk Grove got a good showing from Bryce Engle, who pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave Engle a new career-high in strikeouts (three).
