Cornerstone can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They really took it to the Victory Christian Lions for the full four quarters, racking up an 80-39 win. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 56-19.

When it comes to explaining why Victory Christian lost, don't look at John Perry. Despite the final result, he posted 12 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Perry has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Caden Wilson, who had eight points.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-5. As for Victory Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Cornerstone will challenge Sylacauga at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Aggies have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Victory Christian, they will face off against Oak Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
