Wapsie Valley had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.4 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Cascade Cougars. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 1-0 win the Cougars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in June of 2024.

Wapsie Valley's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-1. As for Cascade, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wapsie Valley will host Oelwein at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cascade, they will face off against Monticello at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
