Volleyball Recap: Legacy Takes a Loss

After flying high against South Gate on April 7th, Legacy came back down to earth. The Tigers fell just short of the Garfield Bulldogs by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Legacy actually scored more points across those five sets (109-104), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 29-27, 25-23, 16-25, 15-9.

Legacy's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-5. As for Garfield, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Legacy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Huntington Park on the 25th. As for Garfield, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against South Gate on the 25th.
