Volleyball Recap: Elkhart Comes Up Short

Elkhart was the 3-1 winner over Teague when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Elks took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions on Saturday. The Elks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Layla Walding paced Elkhart's offense, picking up five kills. Walding got some help from Mallari Pittman and her 11 assists. Brooke Cooper controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Elkhart's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Teague, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Elkhart will venture away from home to challenge Fruitvale at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Teague, they will challenge Mildred at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
