Volleyball Recap: Owensboro Takes a Loss

After flying high against Muhlenberg County on October 2nd, Owensboro came back down to earth. The Red Devils came up short against the Apollo Eagles on Monday, falling 3-0. The Red Devils were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Owensboro has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-18 record this season. As for Apollo, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 26-9.

Owensboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Apollo, they have already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Owensboro Catholic on the 22nd.
