It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Sweetwater had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They came out on top against the Llano Yellowjackets by a score of 5-2. Winning may never get old, but the Mustangs sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.

The team relied heavily on Jade Rodriquez, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Mason Straley was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Sweetwater was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .394. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.

Sweetwater's victory bumped their record up to 17-10. As for Llano, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-19 record this season.
