Basketball Recap: Putnam County Comes Up Short

Putnam County lost against Princeton back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Putnam County Midgets lost to the Princeton Tigers on the road by a 73-57 margin. While losing is never fun, the Midgets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 313th, while the Tigers are ranked 125th).

Putnam County's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Princeton, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 22-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Putnam County will face off against Schuyler County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Schuyler County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests. As for Princeton, they will challenge Trenton at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
