Baseball Recap: Deep Run Takes a Loss

Deep Run and Gainesville squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Deep Run had to settle for second. They lost 7-0 to the Cardinals. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Deep Run's loss dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Gainesville, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season.

Deep Run does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gainesville, they will square off against West Springfield at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Cardinals surely won't give up without a fight.
