Basketball Recap: Mt. Healthy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Trotwood-Madison last Saturday, Mt. Healthy came back down to earth. The Mt. Healthy Fighting Owls were beaten by the Hamilton Big Blue 68-36 on Monday. The Fighting Owls were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-19.

Hamilton got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Amaginn Beamon out in front who posted 17 points and six steals. Omarionya Kirkland was another key player, putting up 12 points and six rebounds.

Mt. Healthy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Hamilton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-8.

Mt. Healthy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-26 loss against Harrison on the 22nd. As for Hamilton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 68-37 defeat against Mason on the 22nd.
