Softball Recap: Northside - Pinetown Takes a Loss

If Northside - Pinetown was feeling good fresh off their 17-8 takedown of East Carteret last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers fell just short of the Mariners by a score of 8-7 on Friday. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mariners earlier this season, when they won 17-8.

Megan Hopkins was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Northside - Pinetown's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-7. As for East Carteret, their record is now 7-8.
